The Kestrel 1000 Wind Meter measures wind speed, maximum wind speed, and average wind speed. This compact, durable unit fits nicely in the palm of your hand and weighs a mere 2 ounces. The Kestrel 1000 features a large liquid crystal display which is easy to read under almost any condition and the display units can be changed at any time, with choices to suit a wide variety of applications (knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour or feet per minute, Beaufort). A protective hard case is included.
